How to apply

Organisations wishing to apply for Support for small and medium sized enterprises engaging in apprenticeships are invited to submit applications online by 15 January 2016, 12:00 noon (midday, Brussels time) to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels.

The instructions for completing the Application Package is intended to help applicants for Support for small and medium sized enterprises engaging in apprenticeships to find information they need to complete their applications.

Before starting your application:

1. Read the Applicant Guidelines for completing the Application Package carefully.
2. Applicants must have an ECAS (European Commission Authentication Service) account. If you already have an ECAS account, you may use it, otherwise, click here to create an ECAS account. When you have created your ECAS account, return to this page.

You are now ready to start the application process:

1. The applicant and all partner organisations must be registered in the Participant Portal. Organisations that register in the Portal receive a Participant Identification Code (PIC) that will be requested in the application form.
Given that each applicant organisation should use only one PIC code, please first check with your legal representative's office whether such a PIC number has already been created for your organisation. If this is the case, you may use this PIC code to create your electronic application form.
2. If not, your organisation should register in the Participant Portal. To access the Participant Portal, you will also need your ECAS username and password.
3. Create your official electronic application form, also called the eForm (please refer to the eForm section).

Completing your application

1. Once you have completed the eForm and attached the annexes, validate it. This triggers an automatic check that informs you if your application form is complete. If this is the case, you can submit it online.
2. When you have submitted your application online, you should receive a confirmation email and reference number. If not, contact the heldesk.

Please DO NOT SEND A COPY of the e-form and the attached documents by post to EACEA.

Documents to be attached to the e-form

Please note that the financial capacity form, the legal entity form and the mandate letters from partners are not needed at application stage.

Documents to be uploaded in the Participants' portal

• The completed, dated and signed Legal entity form (the form corresponding to your public or private status)

• For "Public Entities": a copy of the resolution, law, decree, decision or any other official document establishing your organisation as a "public body". In addition, a copy of a document that proves your VAT registration or if not applicable, a legal document attesting your organisation's VAT exemption. The VAT document should have been issued recently and in any case, no more than 6 months ago;

• For "Private Entities": an extract of registration (or its equivalent: Company Register, Official Journal) clearly indicating the name of your organisation, the address of the head office, its registration number and a copy of an official document proving your VAT registration. These official documents should have been issued recently and in any case, no more than 6 months ago;

• For "Non-profit organisations", a copy of the statutes, resolution, law, decree, decision or any other official document establishing your organisation as a non-profit organisation is necessary. "Non-profit organisation" means a legal entity which by its legal form is a non-profit making and/or which has a legal or statutory obligation not to distribute profits to its shareholders or individual members. Profits have to be reinvested in the same activity of the entity or in research activities.
