The Cluster Meeting follows up the theme of the 2015 Jean Monnet Conference by reflecting on how the Jean Monnet Activities can be improved to help face current challenges to the concept of a Union of shared values. It will therefore provide an opportunity for the Jean Monnet Community both to exchange good practices and to suggest concrete proposals on how to improve the programme. Attendees will mostly be current Jean Monnet Professors (selected because of their work on democratic values, fundamental rights, or intercultural dialogue) and other academics, as well as officials from the European Commission and EACEA. In order to foster fruitful discussion, the cluster meeting will take place according to the format of a "world café", thereby promoting an open atmosphere in which to exchange ideas and formulate concrete suggestions for the Jean Monnet programme.

A discussion of three to five questions which will result in concrete proposals being made on how to improve the ability of the Jean Monnet programme to help tackle the various challenges towards democratic values, fundamental rights and intercultural harmony.
