This page contains the resources and information required by applicants who wish to complete and submit an electronic application form (eForm) for a funding opportunity or for an accreditation.

In the table below are listed the programmes and actions for which electronic application forms are currently available. The table contains the User Guide for each electronic application form as well as the link to the ‘Application eForm homepage’. The Application eForm homepage is where applicants for funding and applicants for accreditation must follow a series of steps in order to create their new application. These steps are described in the User Guide and applicants are strongly recommended to consult the relevant User Guide for their application form and familiarise themselves with these steps before they begin.

Important information :

ALL electronic application forms require applicants to have a minimum version of Adobe Reader software installed on their computer. This equally applies to applicants using Adobe Acrobat (Standard) or Adobe Acrobat Professional. The minimum version of software that is required is indicated on the "Minimum requirements" tab of this webpage.
For certain types of web browser, the electronic application forms require applicants to have a minimum version of that web browser software. The minimum version of the browser software that is required is indicated on the "Minimum requirements" tab of this webpage.

Please therefore consult the "Minimum requirements" tab of this webpage and carry out any required software upgrade activity before you proceed any further.

Applications for funding

Adobe Reader

You will need Adobe Reader version 9 or higher installed on your computer. Follow the link below to be directed to Adobe's website to download the software free of charge or to upgrade your existing copy of the software. If you do not have administrator rights on your computer this activity may require the intervention of your IT department. You will need to specify your operating system before the download can commence.

If you are using Adobe Acrobat (Standard) or Adobe Acrobat Professional, the version must likewise be 9 or higher.

You can check the system requirements for Adobe Reader through the following link: http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/reader/systemreqs/

Linux users should note that Adobe Reader X and XI do not currently support the Linux operating system. It is therefore necessary to use an earlier version of the Reader e.g. version 9 or one of its sub-versions.

Web browser

If you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, please ensure that the version you have installed is version 9 or higher. If you are using a lower version than version 9, you may encounter problems when trying to save an eForm that you have created.

Applications for accreditation

Applicants are recommended to use one of the following web browsers:

Windows Internet Explorer, version 9 or higher

For either of these downloads, you will need to specify your operating system before the download can commence. If you do not have administrator rights on your computer this activity may require the intervention of your IT service.

Other makes of browser may be used but their compatibility with all of the functionality of the application form cannot be guaranteed.

Adobe Reader

The printing (and saving) of the application form requires Adobe Reader or one of the Adobe Acrobat products – Adobe Acrobat (Standard) or Adobe Acrobat Professional – to be installed on your computer. The minimum required version is:

Settings

Please ensure that the following settings have been configured on your computer:

JavaScript is enabled in your browser.
Your browser's pop-up blocker is deactivated or the website of the online application form has been defined as an exception to the pop-up blocker.
For users of Windows Internet Explorer, ensure that your settings ALLOW encrypted pages to be saved to disk.

Submission unsuccessful due to a 'Network Error'

If you have experienced a 'network error' during the submission procedure please consult the document below for advice on how to resolve the problem.

If you have received a screen message and email message advising you that the Agency has successfully received a copy of your electronic application - BUT THE SUBMISSION NUMBER HAS NOT BEEN AUTOMATICALLY RECORDED IN YOUR FORM - please contact the Helpdesk for further advice.

Submission error caused by Enhanced Security settings – IMPORTANT advice that applies to MOST versions of Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat software

Applicants will encounter problems during eForm submission if the Enhanced Security settings of Adobe Reader / Acrobat have not been adapted to exclude the eForm from the enhanced security check.

The versions of Adobe Reader / Acrobat that include the Enhanced Security feature are:

- version 9.3 or any higher version 9 than this
- Any version X
- Any version XI

The Enhanced Security feature can be temporarily turned off - 'disabled' - so that the submission works successfully. It is best to do this before trying to submit your form. This can be done from the menu path Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced). Simply uncheck the box Enable Enhanced Security and click OK. This is explained in more detail (with screenshots) in the document below. The document also describes how you can leave the Enhanced Security feature turned on - 'enabled' - but identify your eForm as an exception to the security feature.

If you did not disable this feature in advance - or identify your eForm as an exception - and have encountered the error during the submission itself, please refer to the document below for instructions on how to resolve the problem and submit your eForm (see Scenario B from page 6 onwards).

Advice for Macintosh Users

The eForm can only be opened and filled in using Adobe Reader or one of the Adobe Acrobat products. It is not possible to open and fill in the eForm using the Mac Preview viewer. Please therefore ensure that if your default viewer is set as Mac Preview, you nonetheless open the eForm with one of the Adobe products mentioned in the 'minimum requirements' tab. Further advice can be found in the document below.

Updated e-form for Civil Society Cooperation call (05/03/2014):

Applicants should be aware that the following two parts of the application have been updated:

For all applicants- change in the BUDGET section: CONTRIBUTION IN-KIND can be integrated ONLY under “INCOME”
Only for applicants of Lot 1 ( Education & Training)- Category 2 EU-wide network (formal network): change in C5-Geographical Coverage: no blocking message linked to the number of countries.
Following these changes in the e-form applicants are invited to update e-form version by using the option " Revise your list of participating organisations and incorporate it in your existing application eForm" available here
