Tempus Regional Seminar on the Management of Human Resources in Public Higher Education in the Western Balkans: Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), 14-15 June

The regional seminar on the 'Management of Human Resources in Public Higher Education' in the Tempus Partner Countries, organised in Sarajevo (Bosnia a and Herzegovina) on 14-15 June, was the first in the series of four regional seminars to be organised on this topic by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, in cooperation with the European Commission.

The aim of these seminars is to present the results of the Tempus study "Human Resource Management in Public Higher Education in the Tempus Partner Countries", commissioned by the Executive Agency in 2011 and carried out by two independent experts (Maria Kelo and Flora Dubosc), and to encourage reflection and discussion among university staff, ministerial representatives and other experts on the challenges and trends related to the management of human resources.

Around 60 participants from the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia) attended the event. The group of participants consisted of academic and administrative staff from universities, ministry officials and staff from higher education agencies and National Tempus Offices.

The working language was English.
