Training: Seminar for Bologna and Tempus Higher Education Reform Experts, Warsaw, 23-24 October, 2009, 'Competences For The Future'.

The next Bologna and Tempus Experts seminar, entitled “Competences for the Future”, will take place at the University of Warsaw on 23 & 24 October, 2009.

The event will bring together Bologna experts and Tempus Higher Education Reform Experts. It aims to increase participant's mutual understanding of both the world of universities and the world of industry/enterprise and to help participants gain new insights into how further links can be developed between both, by sharing examples of best practice in this area.

The programme will focus on the following themes;

  • the latest developments in the Bologna process concerning the 'employability' theme
  • the added value of work placements in university studies
  • curriculum reform & development for skills upgrading
  • university policies and strategies

The seminar will focus on developing people's competences and skills, improving people's employability and creating new jobs.

It will be funded by the EU's Lifelong Learning Programme and the Tempus Programme and organised by the UNICA network.
