Tempus Regional Seminar on University Governance in the Western Balkans: Montenegro, 26 - 27 April 2010

The Regional Seminar on University Governance in the Western Balkans, that will be organized in Montenegro on 26-27 April 2010, will be the second of the four regional seminars that the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, in cooperation with the European Commission services, is organising in 2010.

The aim of these seminars is to present the results of the study "Changing rules - A review of Tempus support to university governance" commissioned by the European Commission in 2009 (authors: John Reilly and Ard Jongsma) and to encourage reflection and discussion among academics, experts and ministerial representatives on the general challenges and trends in higher education governance.

Around 70 participants from the 7 Western Balkans countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo under 1244/99 UNSCR) will be invited by the Commission services and EACEA. Participants will represent Universities, Ministries, Higher Education Agencies, EU Delegations, Tempus National Tempus Office and National Contact Points.
