Serbia
DG Education and Culture has informed the EACEA that Serbia has signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the 21 December 2011 for its participation in the Lifelong Learning Programme.
This means that the formal steps have been completed for Serbia's participation in the Lifelong Learning Programme. Consequently, organisations in Serbia are eligible to participate as partners in the relevant centralised actions of the LLP Call 2012, as outlined on page 8 (1.6 New Countries) in the Instructions for completing the Application Form and its attachments and in the Explanations by action. This means that organisations from Serbia can participate both as applicant and partners.
Erasmus Multilateral Projects
Erasmus Multilateral Projects with a duration of 24 months: The maximum EU grant for a project of 24 months’ duration is 400.000€. Please see Frequently Asked Questions for information regarding error messages in the Excel tables.

The European Commission has announced that Albania will not participate in the Call 2012. Please visit the website of DG EAC for further details: http://ec.europa.eu/education/llp/doc848_en.htm
For applications to be submitted, this means that organisations from Albania cannot participate as full partners in the applications, but have to be treated as Third Country partners.
Therefore, applicants who would like to involve organisations from Albania should contact the helpdesk for the action concerned (full list of helpdesks available at the end of this webpage) to get advice on how to complete the eForm (Please do not contact the Agency's technical helpdesk for the eForm).

Deadlines
The deadlines for Sub-Programmes and for the Transversal programme have been moved forward by 1 month.
This year the deadline is 2 February 2012 for the Sub-programmes and 1 March for the Transversal programme.
New Actions: Key Activity 1 Roma Multilateral Projects and Roma Networks
New Actions have been included in the Call for 2012: Key Activity 1 of the Transversal Programme includes the possibility of applying for Roma Multilateral Projects and Roma Networks. Information in all EU languages can be found in the LLP guide Part IIb – Explanations by action on this page.
Participation of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia
The Call for proposals states that the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia may become eligible to participate in the Lifelong Learning Programme Call 2012 as LLP participating countries, provided that the formal steps for participation for each country are completed in due time.

All applicants will receive a written notification of the outcome as well as feedback on the evaluation of their application. Applications that have been selected for co-financing will receive an explanation of the action required to complete the contractualisation procedures. Where possible reserve lists will be drawn up.

Models of Grant Agreement
The type of Grant Agreement (contract) offered to successful applicants will vary depending on the nature of the consortium. Two core models will be used: a multibeneficiary grant agreement will be used by all successful consortia except Erasmus Networks.

It is possible that for some organisations a bank guarantee can be requested. This applies in particular to organisations that do not have the status of a public body. If a financial guarantee for pre-financing is required, an additional article is included in the grant agreement.
