The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) is responsible for the management of certain parts of the EU's programmes in the fields of education, culture and audiovisual. More about the EACEA

 

Fully operational from the 1st of January 2006, the Executive Agency operates under supervision from its three parent Directorates-General of the European Commission:

- Education and Culture (DG EAC),
- Information Society and Media(DG INFSO) and
- EuropeAid Cooperation Office (DG AIDCO).



Here are the programmes and actions managed by the EACEA:

 

Lifelong learning programme

The Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) is the successor to the Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci and ICT / Open & Distance Learning (2000-2006) . It supports learning opportunities from childhood to old age in every single life situation through different programmes as Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig, Jean Monnet, and transversal key activities.
