EU-CANADA Transatlantic Exchange Partnerships (TEP) Programme

Call for proposals 2009

Reference: EACEA/33/2008

Application deadline: 8 May 2009

The deadline for applications has been modified to 8 May 2009.

In the context of the European Union - Canada Framework for Co-operation in Higher Education, Training and Youth (EU-Canada Programme) a new call for proposals has been launched to fund joint study and/or training Programmes allowing transatlantic exchanges between European and Canadian education institutions.
The funded activities, such as the development of curricula, joint study programmes, international internships, exchanges and study abroad with provision for mutual credit recognition and language and cultural preparation, will benefit to higher education students, vocational education and training learners and teachers/trainers/administrative staff.  The main focus of activities must be on transatlantic rather than intra-European or intra-Canadian interactions.
Submission of grant requests under this 2009 Call for Proposals is open to higher education institutions and to vocational education and training institutions. European eligible institutions must be established in one of the 27 Member States of the European Union.

The budget available for the co-financing of projects is estimated at a minimum of EUR 1,104 million. It is anticipated that approximately 8 projects will be funded in 2009. The maximum amount of funding on the EU side will be EUR 138.000 for a 3-year consortium project. Projects activities are planned to start in September 2009 and last for 36 months.
