The Erasmus Mundus programme comes to an end on 31 December 2013. However, ongoing projects will continue their activities —including the selection of students for scholarships — until the end of their grant agreement.
As from 2014, certain activities supported up to now by Erasmus Mundus will be part of Erasmus+, the new EU programme for education, training, youth and sport.
Erasmus+ brings together all the current EU and international schemes for education, training, youth and sport (including Erasmus Mundus), replacing all existing programmes with one. This will increase efficiency, make it easier to apply for grants, as well as reducing duplication and fragmentation. Erasmus+ starts on 1 January 2014.
The first Call for Proposals under Erasmus+ was launched on 12 December 2013. This includes a call for Joint Master Degrees, the successor to Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses. The deadline for proposals is 27 March 2014.
