Regional Cluster on Asia


The regional Cluster on Asia focuses on the main characteristics and challenges in cooperation between European Higher Education Institutions and Asian partners.

It brings together existing Erasmus Mundus Joint Programmes, Action 2 Partnerships and Attractiveness Projects with their Asian partners.

The activity aims to identify existing good practices on Europe-Asia higher education cooperation with a special regard to sustainability, recognition and university-business cooperation.

The aims of the workshop on the regional Cluster on Asia are to:

  • provide different views from European and Asian universities, alumni and the European Commission on the key issues related to sustainability, recognition of study periods and university-business co-operation within Erasmus Mundus
  • analyse good practices and share experiences and difficulties
  • identify recommendations for the guidelines
  • lead to a discussion to improve the conditions for European-Asian co-operation within the Erasmus Mundus Programme
  • lead to the identification of some key points to be taken into account for the design of the next phase of the programme (2014-2020).

Practical Guidelines with relevant examples of good practice on activities with a geographical focus on the region of Asia. The Guidelines are designed for easy use by co-ordinators and partners of all such courses.
