Clusters within the Erasmus Mundus Programme

The overall objectives of the Clusters are to further disseminate the results of the Erasmus Mundus Programme by bringing together its beneficiaries, coordinators, students, alumni and other relevant stakeholders.

They exploit the synergies between the different Erasmus Mundus Joint Programmes and Attractiveness Projects.

The aim of the clusters is to bring the projects together, and to identify and disseminate good practices through the exchange of experiences. The input does not only come from Erasmus Mundus beneficiaries, but also from stakeholders and external experts.

Activities and outputs:

Following a call for tender published in 2009, clusters were conducted on 5 themes:

Under each cluster, the following activities and outputs were carried out :

  • A Survey of Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses,  Erasmus Mundus students and Attractiveness projects, leading to an inventory of activities carried out by the projects
  • An Erasmus Mundus Workshop on the cluster theme, providing good practice examples of the relevant projects, including inputs of representatives of higher education academics,  involving industry and private companies together with Erasmus Mundus students and the Alumni Association
  • Informative and practical Guidelines with examples of good practices for use by coordinators and partners
  • A dedicated thematic Website
