ECP Finland in Kuntamarkkinat

Welcome to visit Europe for Citizens Point´s and CIMO´s stand in kuntamarkkinat (Municipal Fair) - the top event of Finnish public administration!

The 2012 Kuntamarkkinat, will be held on 12 to 13 September in Helsinki. The venue is the House of Municipalities (Kuntatalo), address is Toinen Linja 14.

Workshop on European Cooperations on Active Age and training seminar on the Europe for Citizens in Berlin

The workshop is organized by the German ECP (KS EfBB) in cooperation with the Bundesnetzwerk Bürgerschaftliches Engagement (BBE). It provides networking opportunities of actors in the field of active ageing in Germany and training on European project management.

Civil Society Organisations and municipalities planning to organise European cooperation projects concerning topics like civic participation, active citizenship, democracy in Europe, history and culture in Europe, the institutions and future of the EU etc. will be informed about the Europe for Citizens programme. The training seminar of the German ECP (KS EfBB) focuses on the following funding schemes: Action 1, Measures 1.1 and 1.2 and Action 2, Measure 3. Participants will have the chance to ask questions and present their project ideas.

The Europe for Citizens programme supports projects that provide platforms to discuss Europe, the EU and encourage participation for european topics – applications are possible next year. What can Europe for Citizens mean for you municipality?

The Dutch municipalities of Groningen, Helmond and Maassluis and the Europe for Citizens Point Netherlands will be organizing three information meetings about the Europe for Citizens programme in November. If you are interested to know whether your project will be eligible for support, join the meeting that is organized in your region.

The meetings are scheduled for:

  • Monday 19 November, 14.00 – 16.00 hrs., municipality of Helmond, Frans Joseph van Thielpark 1.

  • Thursday 22 November,  14.00 – 16.00 hrs., municipality of Maassluis, Koningshoek 93.050

  • Tuesday 27 November, 14.00 – 16.00 hrs., municipality of Groningen, Waagstraat 1.

At the  meetings, the Europe for Citizens Point Netherlands will clarify the possibilities of the programme and will explain more about the procedure, the e-form and the chances of success. Also, the municipalities will present their international networks and activities. Of, course there will be enough room to for you to ask your questions.

The information meetings are meant for:

  • Cities and their town twinning committees or networks.
  • Other levels of local or regional governments
  • Non-profit organisations that represent local authorities

Attending one the meetings is are free of charge, but we do ask you to register beforehand, by e-mailing us at: ecpnl@sica.nl.

Slovenia September Meeting with regional information multipliers
PEC Slovenia intends to organise a coordination meeting with representatives and coordinators of regional centres and agencies for CSOs and municipalities. Regional centres and agencies cover the widest spectrum of most important CSOs and municipalities in certain region. The aim of this meeting will be to present EFC Programme and find synergies for closer cooperatation.
