Croatia   11 October

A conference coorganised with the French Embassy in Croatia and the “Enlarged Europe” committee of the “Association Française du Conseil des Communes et Régions d’Europe“ (AFCCRE), which will gather representatives of local and regional authorities from both France and Croatia and shall among others include also a session presenting funding opportunities as well as cases of good practice of cooperation between French and Croatian local authorities in the framework of the Programme. Thus, this event shall function as a partner search forum for representatives of French and Croatian local authorities, encouraging them to apply joint projects in the framework of the relevant measures of the Programme.

In addition to that, we intend to organize another partner search forum in November, which shall gather participants (i.e. potential beneficiaries of the Programme) from the countries of the Western Balkans region, i.e. Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania as participating countries, and Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia as potentially participating countries whose application procedures are very close to an end. The aim of the event will be to create opportunities for setting up of new project partnerships in the framework of the Europe for Citizens Programme.

National hearing on the European  Commission´s proposal for the new Europe for Citizens programme

Ministry of Education and Culture organizes a national hearing on the Commission´s proposal for the new Citizens for Europe (2014-2020) programme. Hearing is targeted for  all stakeholders of the programme, in particular local and regional authorities and organizations, public policy research organizations and think-tanks and civil society organizations as well as educational institutions.

ECP France will have an exhibition stand equipped with a screen where we will project information about the program. In the exhibition stand there will be a discussion corner where we can meet and discuss with the interested persons.

The seminar of the German Europe for Citizens Point (Kontaktstelle Deutschland „Europa für Bürgerinnen und Bürger“, KS EfBB) takes place in the framework of the »Tour« of the European year of volunteering 2011 (EYV 2011), which will be held from 14th to 20th October in Berlin. Besides an introduction in EU funding for active citizenship the seminar will provide useful information for the application process. It addresses civil society organisation which plan European cooperation projects in the field of active citizenship and European challenges.
01 - 02 december Seminar »Europäische Förderung für bürgerschaftliches Engagement«01.-02.12.2011, 9.30-17.00 Uhr, Bonn' Civil society organisations which plan to organise European cooperation projects concerning topics like civic participation, active citizenship, demoncracy in Europe, history and culture in Europe, the institutions and the future of the EU, etc. should know a bit more about the “Europe for citizens’ programme”. The seminar of the German Europe for Citizens Point (Kontaktstelle Deutschland „Europa für Bürgerinnen und Bürger“, KS EfBB) focusses on the project funding scheme of the “Europe for citizens’ programme” (Action 2, Measure 3). Space for presentations of and questions on individual projects is given. At the second day the participants will apply and deepen their fresh knowledge in a workshop on filling in the application form. Costs: 40,00 Euros (for the 1/12/2011 only), 75,00 Euros (for both days)

Italy Ministero per i beni e le attività culturali (MIBAC) 9 - 10 October Taverna (Catanzaro), Calabria:ECP – Europe for Citizens Point Italy will take part to the two-days seminar on “Europe and Active Citizenship”, that will be held at Taverna (Catanzaro) on October 9th and 10th 2011.
The event, organized in cooperation with AICCRE and the Region of Calabria, aims to inform citizens on the opportunities offered by the “Europe for Citizens” Programme, especially those addressed to municipalities and to other levels of local authorities.
More specifically, ECP – Europe for Citizens Point Italy will explain the objectives and priorities of the “Europe for Citizens Programme”, how to participate to the various calls and will provide information about deadlines and selection criteria.
14 October

Supersano (Lecce) - ECP – Europe for Citizens Point Italy, in cooperation with Momaservice and Supersano Municipality, will organize an Info-day concerning “Europe for Citizens” Programme at Supersano (Lecce), on October 14th 2011.
During the first session, ECP Italy will explain the role and function of ECP itself, the structure of “Europe for Citizens” Programme”, the general and specific objectives, the Programme’s priorities.
The second session will focus on Action 1, Measure 1.1 – Town-twinning citizens’ meeting and Measure 1.2 – Network of twinned towns, by providing a complete view on how to fulfil the Application Form and the Budget Form. An analysis of annexes such as Financial Capacity Form will be included as well.

18 November Agropoli (Salerno) - ECP – Europe for Citizens Point Italy, in cooperation with Informagiovani Agropoli, will organize an Info-day regarding “Europe for Citizens” Programme and “Active Citizenship”. The Info-day will be carried out in 3 main session and will deal with: - “Europe for Citizens” Programme: objectives and priorities, calls for proposal, deadlines, examples of successful projects - Active European Citizenship - European Year of Volunteering,
25 November Rome - ECP – Europe for Citizens Point will organize a National Conference on the “European Year of Volunteering” in Rome, on November 9th. The conference will focus on the EYV 2011 and on the publication “Fostering the dialogue between citizens, civil society organisation and national, European institution. And introduction to the European Year of Volunteering”, published by ECP Italy itself. Policy-makers, National Institutions’ representatives, NGO and Volunteering Associations, citizens and other stakeholders will be involved in the conference, that will deal with the outputs and achievements of the European Year and will discuss the main issues related to volunteering sector. During the conference, an exhaustive presentation of the “Europe for Citizens” Programme will be provided. The above-mentioned publication regarding the EVY 2011 and a second publication concerning a selection of Italian accepted projects in the context of “Europe for Citizens” Programme will be distributed to all participants. Both publication are edited by ECP Italy. The national event aims to disseminate among Italy the importance of Volunteering, intended as a concrete manifestation of Active European Citizenship, and to spread the knowledge of the “Europe for Citizens” Programme.

Europe Day is a yearly organized conference on European funding programmes, as of this year including Europe for Citizens. This year’s edition focuses on the impact of the title European Capital of Culture, as the call for Dutch participants for 2018 will be announced at the conference. Workshops will include information sessions on the Europe for Citizens programme, illustrated by best practices. Around 200 participants (from local authorities, cso’s and cultural sector) are expected.

Slovakia Europe for citizens Points Slovakia 8 - 9 November International partner search seminar: Strand 1.2. and Strand 1.1. 8 – 9 November, 2011, Budapest, Hungary - (A partner-search event for strand 1.1. and 1.2. in Budapest. The coordinator is Hungarian Pec and Slovak Europe for Citizens Contact Point is participating financially as well as inviting 7 slovak municipalities to participate. We have municipality of Kalonda giving a presentation about a succesful project of Town twinning and municipality of Vinice /Ipolynnyek presenting a project of networked towns. Working languages: Hungarian, English, This is the first time that a partner search seminar is happening in the Europe for Citizens programme.
