Temporary Agent positions
Recruitments are always done via external selection procedures organized by the Agency and all vacancies are published on our website. Please regularly consult this page for open vacancies and selections.
When applying for vacant positions, please read the applicants' instructions carefully.
When no vacancies are published, the Agency will not treat any spontaneous applications for future positions.
The Agency has reached its full staffing capacity and still has reserve lists of potential temporary agent candidates in case of departures of current staff members.
No new temporary agent selections are foreseen in 2014.
Contract Agent positions
Contract agent recruitments are done on the basis of interviews with a selection panel. The Agency may invite to interviews only those candidates who have already passed an EPSO/CAST selection procedure in the relevant function group (with a valid status in the EPSO data base) and whose profile corresponds to the requirements of the vacant post.
The Agency cannot consider individuals who have submitted an EU CV online in the context of the Commission’s recent call for expression of interest for contract agent positions.
When sending us your spontaneous application, please always mention clearly your EPSO Reference Number and EPSO profile(s). If you have not yet passed an EPSO testing, please consult the EPSO website for further information. All spontaneous applications must be sent to EACEA-SPONTANEOUS-APPLICATIONS@ec.europa.eu
If your name is on a valid EPSO/CAST list and you wish to send us a spontaneous application for a future contract agent position, your CV will be kept in a database for 6 months, as from the date of reception. All personal data provided are dealt with in compliance with regulation (EC) N° 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data. The Privacy Statement can be found on the Agency's website including details on the right of access and rectification of personal data.
Before recruitment, a successful candidate (contract and temporary staff) shall be medically examined by one of the Institution's medical officers in order that EACEA may be satisfied that he is physically fit to perform his duties. These pre-employment medical visits are carried out by the Medical Service of the European Commission. In order to assure the continuity of operations (replacing staff on long term absences / employing additional resources during periods of peak workload), the Agency employs staff on short term contracts through interim agencies.
